Hi Mark

We’re building a Super II RG with a Renesis.
We had an original Glasair mount.
We kept the RG front gear leg mount, cut of the dynamical ring and repositioned the two bottom mount points.
You should be able to see the subframe that mounts to the engine and that marries to the main mount.
The photo best describes the top mount.

Cheers

I would suggest starting from scratch.  Best for alignment, minimum weight and minimum stress at weld joints.
The Rotary does not easily adapt to Lycoming mounts; by the time you cut away what doesn’t fit, there may not be much left.
I welded my own bed-mount from scratch … see attached.

I am approaching the point in my build where an engine mount is needed.  Glasair Super 2 TD.  So I am not concerned with the mount for connecting landing gear.  Glasair sells 180hp and 200hp lycoming options.  Estimate the renesis tuned properly to put out at least 200 (well hoping for it anyway)

Should I go with one of the Glasair offered ones? - which one?

Better to fabricate from scratch?

Other option?

Thanks for any input,

Mark McClure
