This has been discussed before I think.  If I should change from the Renesis coils what changes are required?

 

I think I would have to:

1. send the EC-2 to Tracy for reprogramming.  Is Tracy still supporting the EC-2 now that he is retired?

 

2. make up a wiring harness with connectors for the D585 coil.

 

3. fabricate a mounting bracket for the coils.

 

4. buy new plug wires to fit the connectors on the coils.  Can I modify my existing Renesis wires to fit these coils?  If not, which brand wire is best?

 

What am I overlooking?  It seems that the D581 or D585 coils are better than the D580 with the D585 the best of the three and with a heat sink built in.  so is the D585 the coil of choice and where is the best source for these coils?
