Yep, that's the one, the PBS TP100. It's a 155# turboprop that
makes 241 shp @ 100% N1 (56,000 rpm) with the prop spinning 2158. The project has been gestating for almost 4 years, and that was based on an
uncompleted RV10 project (rolling chassis) that was purchased as the platform. We would have been flying several months ago but ran into an oil
pressure issue as a result of what turned out to be the experimental Hartzell propeller having an extended pitch rod sticking out of the back of the
hub... damaged an oil line inside the output shaft that allowed the oil headed for the propeller to simply dump back into the gearbox. That
alone took us 8 weeks to find the problem, but once solved everything has continued to move forward smartly. I'm putting the big tail numbers on
it this afternoon along with company logos, we'll be doing high speed taxis tomorrow and first flight Sunday morning. Exciting times for sure.
