I agree with Kelly … ATF is not expensive and seems to work well.  I rebuilt my engine at least 1 year ago; I squirted a few pumps from an oil can with ATF, then turned the engine over by hand a few times – most of the oil actually gets squeezed out through the exhaust. It sat all winter without being rotated – turned it over to check all the apex seals a few days ago and all were still springing back as required.  I would recommend doing the absolute best job of draining out all the coolant.  Also, plug the exhaust ports and all other openings with some type of breathable material – those blue paper shop rags for example.

Chris,

Have heard of injecting auto transmission oil into a plug hole and rotating for each lobe of the rotors..........Do

not use too much........You do not want a hydralic lock..........

I removed my second gen 13b from my plane. What is recommended by y'all to long term pickle of the engine (unless one of you fine fellows or gals would like to make me an offer. IVO prop and RD-B are already gone). It's just sitting around and I would like to preserve it.

Thanks.
