My "G" / "D" did not come with a cooler.  I may be adding one this summer...

Yes.  Will pull up to 2650 rpm or so with my wood cruise prop in level flight at 3K and static of almost 2300 rpm.  It never misses a beat, and when I want to go around it loves to blast me to pattern altitude before I can finish completing the turn to cross wind...
