This is what I will need to research further.  The a/c came with an analog EGT that ran to only one cylinder, so I bought a multi cylinder kit with a rotary switch and hooked it up.  Since it pegs out so easily, on all four cylinders there must be a mis-match between the old gauge and the wires, etc.
