Doug,

What instrumentation are you using for the thermocouple temperature measurements.  If using self-powered analog gauges, do you have the correct thermocouples for each gauge?  Are you using a selector switch with a single gauge?  If using digital instrumentation, is it possible that the type J and type K thermocouple assignment is not correct?
