Bob,

Great article on your ship !!.........Have followed your progress for some time.............Stunning paint  job also............Since
your ship is turboed am curious if you have been keeping an eye on your redrive flexplate/driveplate for any signs of
cracks in the flexplate and/or fretting of the rivets in the driveplate hub since these problems have been reported by a
few of the higher HP turbo 13B and 20B installations and your 13B obviously makes more HP than the avarage NA 13B ?

Ed,

Thanks for the kind words.  While building any experimental airplane is not easy, building one with an auto engine conversion, such as the Mazda Rotary, is exponentially more difficult.  I am pleased with the results, although I do not have enough left in me to do it a second time.  I will spend the rest of my years enjoying the fruits of my labor.

Great Article, Bob

Congratulations!

A true experimenter for sure, really like your altitude hold system using pressure sensors.  Also liked your cool nose weight hanging from the front of the engine in the photo with you under the engine compartment doing precision measurement for your W&B.

Again, great job!

I am very pleased to announce that EAA has published an excellent article on my Mustang II with a turbocharged 13B Rotary engine in the March 2014 issue of the on-line Experimenter magazine.

You can read it at http://experimenter.epubxp.com/i/271000/10 .  I felt honored that EAA wanted to do an article on my plane.
