Tom Kendall (in Wisconsin) hand carved a mold pattern out of wood, had a
manifold cast, and sent it to Paul for evaluation.  Paul fitted the curved
tubing to it and  took the pictures. Paul has purchased Rhino, a 3-D modeling
system, and enrolled in a course that allows him to use a "rapid prototyping"
machine that builds up parts by layers of epoxy or something similiar.  He
has made a 3-D model of the manifold, and has made the cores and patterns
using the rapid prototyping machine.  According to the latest email, he has
sent the pattern and cores to the foundry this week, expecting parts soon.
One reason that he redid the molds was to make the manifold suitable to fit
several different 13-B intake ports, by doing a little grinding on the final
part.

I believe that Paul plans to have Tracy carry the finished product (whenever
it is finished), and was premature posting the notice that it was available
from Tracy on his picture on the web site. (He may have failed to communicate
this to Tracy)

Tom Kendall has in the ensuing months, made a manifold for the 20-B, using
the wooden cores, etc. From the emails I have seen, Tom plans to just make
them locally for 20-B users.  They are looking very good, but I am using the
13-B, so am working on many other things while I wait for the cast versions.
