Bill Harrelson built a Lancair 4P with an IO550 engine last year. He equipped it with long range fuel tanks and can carry 400 gal of fuel. Starting a couple of day ago, he flew from KGUS(Peru, Indiana) to PHNL (Honolulu, Hawaii),a distance of 4519 miles, took him 22 hrs 15 min, then he flew PHNL (Honolulu, Hawaii) to PGUM (Guam), a distance of 3846 miles, took him 16 hours 16 minutes, and now he is flying PGUM (Guam) to KJAX (Jacksonville, Fl). That will be a 32-33 hour flight. 7038 miles per airnav and 8113 miles direct per flight aware non stop! He started out with 400 gal of gas. Tail number is 6ZQ. Check him out on flight aware.
