Thanks, Bill, Charlie
Now if we could only figure out what the "gear thingy"
in photo one. Not a part of the oil injection system is
it??

Re: Fw: Mazda
#1 the small pipe is
probably the idle air injector that lets air blast into the primary ports
during idle to atomize the fuel. It can be hooked up to the air filter
or blocked off. I don’t know what would happen with it if you use a
turbo since the Renesis is not designed to have a turbo. Don’t know
about the gear thingy.
#2 I don’t have a
turbo??
#3 oil pressure
switch. On-off to turn on a light if the oil pressure gets low. I
have mine installed to plug the hole, but it is not hooked up
electrically.
#4 fuel pressure
regulator
#5 water temp
sensor
#6 small one is where
the oil dipstick goes. The large one is where you pour oil into the
engine…(after you rig up some kind of oil cap to cover the
hole)

Ernie
Pritchard has asked for some assistance in identifying the components on this
turbocharged Renesis engine (see attached image and Ernie's comments
below). This was Steve's project I believe.
Since I
only have an older non-turbo 13B, I'd rather not confuse Ernie with my guess
on some of these. So if folks want to provide answers to each image, I
forward them to Ernie.

1 small pipe? Manifold pres? Gear. It turns by hand. What is
it?
img
2 Waist gate I think has 2 small hose lines connections. I’m guessing to
control it. Where do they go?
img
3 Sensor between oil and water line. What is
it?
img
4 Fuel pressure regulator? Pump?
img
5 Sensor near what I think is a coolant line. Water
temp?
img
6 What are these 2 pipes and where must they
go?
Hope
you can be of some help.
