I have not seen any perfect information regarding the size of the radiator.  However, "How to Cool Your Wankel" by Paul Lamar has some suggestions for the rotary engine.  Some of the ideas reflected in the book suggest a radiator of 800 cubic inches.  One of his ideas was to create two 20 inch by 20 inch by 1 inch radiators; connect them together on one end, and run air through them through a ducted system.  He offers pictures in the book listed above.

I am working on a Zenith 801 with a rotary engine.  I am hoping to start the engine this fall and then could provide a better answer to the effectiveness of this system.  Ken Johnson

Dear Lynn,
Do you know of or can you point us to a good site on radiator sizing and selection, cu in capacity, surface area, fin density, cu in of core/hp etc?

easy to use a big one or go with empirical data of what has worked for so and so but trying to determine what is needed to do the job?

As always, thanks for you valuable input.

PS, Randi has gotten the kart racing bug again, 20-30 years ago she was into superkarts and shifters, now she is looking at single speed 125cc TAG karts, same thing Tracy is racing now.
