Thanks Bobby,

I have not identified the EGT issue.  I am currently installing the Dynon Skyview engine module.  I am still using Tracy's EM2 and it will read out the engine speed.  The Dynon, through some programming magic, will read out the prop speed with the 2.17 PSRU

I never made any progress with the EGT on the RWS unit even after sending the unit back to Florida.  I am hoping for some better results on the Dynon. However, currently I am still having the Rotor 2 EGT jumping all over the place.  EGT for rotar 1 seems perfect.  I have replaced every EGT sensor.  Today I checked to make sure the red wire was where the red wire was supposed to be and the yellow wire was where the yellow wire was supposed to be. They were. The Dynon unit is so far MUCH easier to work on since it mounts on the the inside firewall in the BACK of my pusher.  Also, since the EGT thermal wire does not run all the way to the front of the plane there is no need for a junction, so the thermalwire plugs directly into the Dynon unit.  The EGT wires are also now run in a completly different route.  They are run together, so noise is not my first guess otherwise I would think it would be the same on both EGT's. The only common part of the route from before is they are still mounted in the exhaust manifold.  So, I got some more work to do.  Hopefully, I will get out there tomorrow.  I have to take my mom to the Oncologist right in the middle of the day, so, it may have to wait.

It was cool, so to speak, to crank up the engine and have the cold A/C start blowing on my head.  If I can get the Dynon engine module and all the sensors to play nice (I have had issue), I can get back to my pre-inspection sqawk list.  I am getting some additional fittings tomorrow localy so I can install a couple additional enigne sensors.  I tried to see if I could share the sensors with both the Dynon and RWS but no joy.  There were some deal breaker inconsistancies.  Sometimes this can work....not gonna mess with it and have the concern lingering in the back of my mind.

All the best,

Glad your making progress Chris. Did you identify what was causing your egt problems?

Now that I have finally gotten my 13b turbo running "well", or so I hope, tonight my buddy Blaine came over and we charged my air conditioner and it is blowing quite cold air. 35, at the evaporator. I think at the evaporator...Blaine told me but I forget...and 45 degrees on my head...that one I do know ;-).  Of course since Murphy seems to be my co-pilot, the Houston temperature dropped 15 degrees today making A/C A/C somewhat less impressive.  However, it is nice to have the A/C system working properly.  Blaine owns the company Seamech who produces the certified aircraft system for a number of aircraft manufacturers including Moony and Cessna.  This is the same system that is in the Cessna Corvallis (former Columbia 300/400).  It is a pretty sweet unit.  Oh, yeah, Blain did hook me up with a deal I couldn't resist, otherwise I would have likely not bolted another 30 lbs on the rear of my bird...but did I mention it blows really cold????

Tomorrow I will hopefully finish installing my new Dynon engine monitor.  I have rotator cuff surgery on Friday so I gotta try to get some stuff done this week.....I will be down for several weeks....won't be able to open hangar doors or push my Velo out.  Sadness....
