I have a makerbot, very cool little gadget.  Parts are definitely of
'prototype' quality, but it is still amazing to go from cad file to
finished part in an hour in my dining room.  If anybody wants to try a
part, let me know.  We will have to figure out how to get an .stl file,
but once I have that it is just a little bit of printing time.  Maximum
dimensions are about 3" cubed, some manufacturing considerations, like
hollow things are difficult.

Lots of ideas here: http://www.thingiverse.com/
