I, too, have AN hoses for the coolant.  However, I've used this stuff called StartLite from Aeroquip.  It is made from Nomex and Kevlar, has the Aeroquip AQP innertube.  It weighs almost nothing, though still a bit expensive.  The hose itself is not too expensive, but the fittings are.  You can use either reusable fittings or crimp fittings - I used crimp for durability.  I'm using -16 hose for the coolant and it has proven to get the job done.  My coolant lines are somewhat long, so the light weight of the StartLite is a real advantage.
