I decided to bite the bullet and install ADS-B. Can't wait. I will be using Chartflier software: http://www.essentialflight.us/Products/ADSB It is a self contained EFB with a full set of charts and approach plates with no purchase costs and only $150/yr annual subscription to be completely legal for all charts. Runs on a windows tablet PC (I am using the HP slate 500). The software is awesome b/c it uses mostly really big buttons to make going between screens easy with finger taps. (but in many ways it lacks the more advanced features of my anywhere map software). Still, it has what anywhere does not - full charts (like fore flight for the iPad) is cheap, and it has full ADS-B support, that fore flight does not yet have. In fact, no other EFB has ADS-B support. For ADS-B, I ordered the Navworx tranciever, but am still waiting for delivery. (should take 3 weeks) In the mean time I am using it with "just" GPS tracking, and it is pretty cool. - same as other EFB software. -- David Leonard Turbo Rotary RV-6 N4VY http://N4VY.RotaryRoster.net http://RotaryRoster.net --002354188fccb9afd804aa803a8f Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hey All,
