Hi Kelly,
125 looks like the right number of teeth based on the picture I sent out yesterday, but that appears to be the Turbo fly-wheel.  All sites show the turbo flywheels compatible with the RX-8 but different than the n.a. flywheels.  I am not sure what exactly makes them different.  Different clutch attachment for sure, but there may still be different dimensional differences as well.

One issue, look at the picture I sent yesterday showing 2 gear rings side by side.  The one on the left is the stock series 5 turbo flywheel, while the one on the right is the flex plate for tracys drive (series 5 auto tranny).  Notice how the flex plate is recessed just inside the gear ring.  Tracy's damper plate sits right inside that recession and comes out all the way to the gear ring.  So in adapting any flywheel, we will have to re-create that recession, but probably not all the way around (like a lathe would do) because you would still need enough material to hold the ring gear in place.  With all that machining, we should probably have the assembly re-balanced.  I'm not sure where to do that and how much it costs.

But now that  you have one on the way anyway.  I am looking forward to getting some dimensions from you and seeing how it works out.  That is a great price!

Dave and Group,

After further examination the flywheel in previous post and the stock flexplate both have 125 ring gear
teeth and after turning the clutch plate friction area flat with the clutch plate mounting area it appears  that
Tracy's drive plate could be bolted to the flywheel...........More examination will be necessary to prove all this
out.................I have one of these on order and will let all know if my theory is correct !!...........If not I will make
some racer a deal on this flywheel.............For all's info this flywheel is available on special for $245.45 with
shipping from the source in previous post...............FWIW
