It would be great to show the numbers as well: Weight as shown, horse power, cost, included accessories etc... It really makes me sad, because Mistral was so close. I just think their model was wrong. They didn't cater enough to the experimental crowd in order to get started. Almost every successful aerospace company either started with large government contracts or grew slowly by providing a quality product to the little guy and gaining experience and reputation. These days the little guy mostly means the experimental and ultralight crowd. Mistral should have been selling experimental engines at cost. That would have given them gobs of FREE R&D and advertising. Sure is a nice looking engine. -- David Leonard Turbo Rotary RV-6 N4VY http://N4VY.RotaryRoster.net http://RotaryRoster.net On Sat, Jun 11, 2011 at 7:58 AM, Kelly Troyer wrote: > Group, > Interesting comparison of packaging between the Mistral G-300 (Cosmo > 20B, 3 Rotor to us) and the > Lycoming IO-540 engines........... > > > > > Kelly Troyer > *"DYKE DELTA JD2" (Eventually)* > > "13B ROTARY"_ Engine > "RWS"_RD1C/EC2/EM2 > "MISTRAL"_Backplate/Oil Manifold > > "TURBONETICS"_TO4E50 Turbo > --001517478c0e2d120c04a571bc0f Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable And the numbers!! =A0It would be great to show the numbers as well:
