Yeah, Charlie, that alternator position is one of
the several reason, I went with the "Plugs Up" orientation a decade + ago.
A lot to cram under an Rv-4 cowl, but if it can be made to fit under an RV-3
Cowl, I have ever bit of confidence, you'll be able to get coolers in
there. Creativity!!
Always a major milestone just to see it hanging on the
airframe!

Well, it's now dangling in front
of the firewall.
Several better pics didn't make it from the camera to
the computer hard drive, but at least you can see the general idea in this pic.
I'm hoping that I'll have room for coolers, intake, exhaust,
etc.
