Subject: Tear-Down avoided no longer

You all may recall I avoided a tear-down recently by extracting/replacing a broken tension bolt.  I have put 3-4 hours on the engine since then, a bunch of short local flights but have seen a myriad of weird symptoms … coolant system pressure spikes, coolant top-ups and recently weak spots in the compression sequence.  I found one soft apex seal spring, it had some movement but not as firm as all the rest.  Went to try freeing it up on Saturday  …  when I loosened the exhaust stack a couple tablespoons of coolant leaked out the rear rotor exhaust port.  So, it has to come apart; I’ll let you know what we find.
