Subje= ct: [FlyRotary] It's done

It appears that once aga= in, perseverance has won out over intelligence.

I pulled the oil pan= back off to do a little surgery to it.  The oil plug is at a much bet= ter place now.  With the cowl on, I should have no problem reaching in= to pull the plug and drain the oil, even after I put the muffler back on.<= BR>
In the last picture, I reduced the saturation on a small circle near= the base and rear of the oil pan.  If you look closely, it almost loo= ks like one of the magnets that you can pull from the armature of a hard di= sk's read/write head.  It is some steel fillings that stuck to the outside of the pan= , after I put a maget from the armature of a hard disk's read/write head.&n= bsp; Those are some really strong magnets that I've got laying all over the= place.  BTW, they are REALLY useful when trying to butt weld sheet me= tal.  One on each side, and your metal stays right where you put it.&n= bsp; Be careful when working with these magnets.  They'll snatch a blo= od blister on the end of a finger without thinking about it.

While I= was at it, I went ahead and pulled the pickup tube, put another screen bas= e on it, and then ran a bead around the joint.  Spent about 1/2hr poli= shing and getting rid of any large irregularities.  Studies have show = that scallops help fluids turn a tighter corner, so I wasn't worried about = eliminating my row of dimes (nickels, quarters, and a five dollar bill 8*)<= BR>
