I used "Steel Epoxy" stick
(dough like consistency) and added somed JB weld to smooth it out. I used
it to smooth the airflow from my first manifold into the port. I roughed
the aluminum runner and then applied the ball of "steel Epoxy" stick until I had
the general shape I wanted, then added JB weld for smoothness. I flew it
for 160 hours with no problem. The pieces are too large to go into the
port even if they separated from the wall (unless like you say they broke
apart).

Thanks
Ed. I'm going to have to give this some serious thought, and maybe even
consider going back to the other manifold. It just seems like the
epoxy would eventually have to let go, since it must expand and contract at
a different rate from the aluminum. It will also be soaked in fuel and oil
all it's life. Still makes me nervous...
Cheers,
Rusty (it's
an engine- not rotary)
