Doug,
Hope you were careful not to allow the oil pump gear to move forward or turn the engine which can
let the thrust bearing spacer move forward and the bearing slip down between it and the thrust races !!
Removal of the front hub (Racing Beat Pulley/Hub in this case) without doing an intentional teardown
is best done with the engine sitting on its flywheel end and with a spacer holding the excentric shaft in
the up position............

Doug,
Do I see a broken Stud in the photo ??........................<:)

Kelly: Thanks for the inputs...I do have what appears to be the Racing Beat dual pulley. My buddies heavy duty 1/2 inch air impact spun it off nicely and then it was an easy matter to get the housing off and cleaned up. Studs are all good but a bit of rust on one of them. I'm going to buy some new gaskets tomorrow and get it reassemble.
I drilled a hole in the housing and tapped it (like Mark Steitle) in order to feed cooled hi pressure water to my water to oil cooler that will be mounted on the firewall...
If you get out to your hanger some weekend end let me know...I'd like to see your project again sometime!
Doug
