A material similar to carbon fiber but thermally more conductive is already
known.
The "irons" and rotor housings could be produced with amazing TBOs and at
about 100 pounds for a two rotor engine. The result would be quite a bit stiffer
than a stock Mazda engine, so even better performance
could be had. I saw the Lola 616s race at Mid Ohio and they were very
strong. Powered by plastic Cosworth
Ford engines. Ford could do this any time. You will not see this until it
is cheaper to do than current production materials.
