Subject: [FlyRotary] Re: expansion tank

I found that there is a 5/8" barbed heater core nipple underneath the oil filter.  I had originally figured on using that to go to the heater core. There is another area for a fitting on the water pump. It is an angled fitting right next to the very bottom of the water pump where the large -16 hose will connect. See area labeled "connection 2" on the picture of the water pump. I had planned on using that for the other connection to the heater core. Finally, there is also another plug on the water pump labeled "connection 1" in the same picture. I have no idea what that is/was for.  Any suggestions on how to incorporate a heater core and this expansion tank into my system?

I believe the barb you are referring to was actually a coolant line plumbing to the intake manifold instead of the heater.  The heater outlet is on the spark plug side of the engine.
