It will have to go on the bottom of the cowl, and I don't see any way to use the stock carb scoop that's already down there (only 7 cu in inlet), so I'll have to get rid of that, and come up with = a new scoop. Anyway, I was wondering what the ballpark size of the scoop should be. =20 =20 Each cowl cheek inlet is about 24 cu in, so logic would suggest that I = start with the same size for oil cooler. The cooler will likely be mounted = very close to the cowl bottom (to get away from the exhaust pipe above) so = the ducting will primarily be built into the scoop.
