Always good to have
that type of real experience shared with the rest. I fly with synthetic
myself but mainly for the gear box – nice to know it may have even more
significant side benefits. I can recall at least one rotary flyer on
this list that can attest to what an oil fire can do to the airfame – even
when on the ground.
Good question on the
O2 sensor – I don’t really know. But, I would suggest get a good oil
solvent and let it soak a bit in it to clean out most of the oil, then I would
pour a little alcohol through it to get rid of the residue, let it dry and
give it a try.
Is that an RPM
reduction device on your mill and what rpm are you rotating/the side
housing? Not very fast I presume {:>)
