Not only that the magnetic field will have and interesting effect on your compass and anything that rely on the earth field to navigate.

and if you get a prop strike the magnetic gears spin free so you wind up replacing just the prop instead of the prop, the PSRU and some expensive engine parts.  

 

 

I’m not so sure about that.

 

If the magnetic coupling is strong enough to transmit 200-300 HP from the engine to the prop,

an abrupt stoppage of the prop will get transferred to the crank.
