I cut the Renesis tube off to shorten it and JB'd the top back on with fiberglass in the JB..   Worked  for 200 hrs so far.

Ian Beadle and I have plastic welded the upper part of the Renesis filler tube to the lower section.
Ians been flying for some time, I haven’t yet.

You can tap it from side to side with a rubber hammer while pulling it out.
  
It is not very hard to get out.
