I pay less than 500 for liability only similar to Steves.  The broker I use is Skysmith.  They get quotes from all the underwriters. 
 
No one has ever balked at insuring the rotary.  Premiums maybe somewhat higher than a lyc plane everything else being equal, but not a big difference..  maybe 10-20% more.

Ground and taxi, $100 not in motion, $100 taxi only in motion
Physical Damage: $50k
Liability: $1 million

Premium came in at $911 for the year.  Not that there seem to be many insurers writing policies for us, but does that seem in line with what others are seeing these days?
