I may end up with a turbo, but I'm hoping the tangential muffler will work well enough to keep that option off the table.  I'm also building a new p-port engine to replace the stock 3-rotor, so I really don't anticipate needing any more hp.  This time I plan to leave the stock exhaust splitters in the rotor housings.

Its a Turbonetics T04 turbo, and yes, it works quite well.  Also has a few other side benefits. :)
Of course, building the airplane out of foam and fiberglass rather than metal helps deaden the vibrations too.

John

No need to go Mach 1. Just put the engine on the back, where it's supposed to be. :)
