Chris,
I didn't challenge anything and was still kicked-off for offering to talk off list to someone interested in carbies.
Still can't understand that one.
George ( down under)

Well, even though it has been said before I gots to say it again.  THIS LIST ROCKS.  I have yet to be kicked off the other list, however, every time I mention it here, I wonder if my loyalty to this list may do the trick.  Also, the moderator has, so far, always been helpful to my questions.  I would not dream of a challenge. <g>

It is interesting to me the difference in tone and the way I use the two list.  I tend to skim over the other list, sometimes noting a thread that MAY prove somewhat interesting as to theory.  I do not like the way the threads are handled.  I think the idea is that the entire thread remains in top down order so you can just click the latest post on a thread and read it all.  This is not the way I prefer it.  I like the individual post from the posting author.  It is more, uh, cozy and direct, IMAO.

THIS list however, I tend to read every post regardless of topic since it is very likely to be something that I may be able to use tonight at the hangar.  I look forward to checking this list several times a day (actually being disappointed when there is nothing new).  When I have a problem, I start forming the way I am gonna pose the question to the group before I even leave the hangar.

I shudder at the prospect of taking on the challenge of my build, let alone the engine without you guys and gals.

THANKS.

Chris

Thank you, John. If not for you and bbradburry speaking up, I would have continued thinking I was the only one with such "BAAAD" thoughts.        "Some of the information he adamantly spouts has been proved entirely wrong, yet he defends it fervently in the face of facts."     I had my suspicions, but not the experience to be sure.     "information tainted with falsehood devalues all the other information."      I have to rethink some things now that others offered but got shot down in flames by this guy. Fatal flaw if you can only build your own self-esteem by devaluing or destroying the self-esteem of others.
When I get mad, sometimes I can't present things properly, so thanks for helping me with the clarification I needed. 'Nuff said, back to enjoying what we love to do on this list, and enjoying each others' interests.     Bernie.
