Mark,
   I remember that you converted your "Denso" alternators (nice job by the way)........I am also
a proponent of totally eliminating the internal regulator circuitry to make sure no component
can fail shorted and cause alternator failure...............I just happened to see this method today
in the online version of the "Experimenter" and thought I would call attention to it............My
conversions have all been on the stock 13B/20B alternators and I know everyone is not using
them..........

About 5 years back I wrote a "how-to" on converting the Denso alternator to use an external regulator, but my method totally eliminates the internal regulator/connector.  I've been running two of these modified alternators for 150 hrs now with no ill effects.  Also, I used adjustable voltage regulators.
