Chris,
That looks like the same type of filter that spoiled my evening. I
think they're filter surface area is too limited. After the strake
repair work I ran the engine for over an hour and filters were clean.
Then I flew it for 1.5 hrs and checked again. Filters were clean. After
the second fill-up from an airport pump... well, you read the rest....
Given that you can never be totally sure you've got all the crud out, I
think bigger filters with a larger filter surface area might be a good
bet.
