Al, I was surprised that the fuel line was too hot to touch with the fuel being recirculated to the fuel tank,  I'm thinking that the engine missing had something to do with gas being so hot.  Would the fuel pump need to be cooled from another source.  I could change the shape of the NACA discharge duct if it is in a position on the cowling to work.  JohnD

It is unlikely that the NACA duct will do anything.  The duct leading away should be at least as large, or larger, than the rectangular opening of the scoop
