Hi Rusty and all,  Sorry, I've been pretty busy at work the last month or so..:0)
Mine spintech is a little smaller than Tracy's but I don't remember how much. Again, as I remember the guy at Spintech didn't care about aircraft use.  Also, there was no scientific reason for the two inch in/out, and some have recommended a smaller diameter, like 1.5 to 1.75.
I plan to be down your way the week after Christmas to fly again.  Maybe bring it to NC if it proves itself well enough.
Regards,
Tommy<><

Subject: [FlyRotary] spintech, and exhaust size

Greetings,

Now that I have decided to ditch the turbo, I'll be ordering a Spintech muffler, and making exhaust.  I read in the archives that Tommy's muffler is about 14" x 8" x 3", with 2" inlet and outlet.  I also understand that Ron is the contact.  Tommy, is this the same size as Tracy's muffler?  Also, does Ron know these are for aircraft, or should I keep quiet about that?

Any other tidbits of info regarding exhaust construction would be welcome as well.  This is another area that I haven't paid much attention to.

Thanks,
Rusty
