Greetings,

Well, after 9 = weeks, with=20 no word of when my turbo would arrive, I decided to cancel the=20 order.  Yes, as amazing as it sounds, I've now floundered = back to=20 the non-turbo plan.  I won't bore you with all the decision = process,=20 but the bottom line is that I'll get the plane back to a far more = reasonable=20 weight and balance without the turbo.  If I need (relative term) = more=20 power, I'll just get one of Tracy's 2..85 drives, and turn up the RPM's = to 7500=20 or so.  The engine is ported, and Bruce said it would = make=20 good power to that RPM.  I figure I can get all the power I = could=20 want, with less risk to the engine. I won't have the high=20 altitude advantage that a turbo would give, but realistically, = I don't=20 fly much over 10k ft anyway.

In other news,=20 I received my one way valves from McMaster Carr = today. =20 They're 12 oz each, which seems pretty heavy, but they're fairly=20 compact, have good specs, and were only $20 each.  I'm = sure=20 they'll work fine.
