Subject: [FlyRotary] Re: Rotary Round Up
this year?
Holy Cow! Thanks for the reminder David. I kept
thinking the last Roundup was just a few months ago so I had plenty of
time. The Texas rotary fly-in at Dennis' place must have reset my
internal clock.
The CNC machine shop that I've been using for many
years is winding down operations so it looks like I'm going to have to gear up
to do CNC in-house if I can't find another good source. There are lots
of places to get prototypes done and many shops that will gladly do 1000 parts
at a time but the ones that can do small batches economically (like 20 pieces
at a time) are amazingly rare. The last batch of parts for gear drives
is almost gone so it's crunch time. And I was hoping to simplify -
sigh....
Even if I find another CNC shop it will take time to qualify
them and get drawings verified so it looks like I'll have to skip having the
Roundup here this year. LOE might be a good opportunity for the
first fly-in appearance of the 20B RV-8. Gotta go look up the date for
it.

Hey Tracy,
Any plans for a Rotary Round up this
year? It is time for me to be making my schedule requests and
planning for the trip. I know everything on the home front is
undergoing major change.
I am planning on making it to LOE this year
almost for sure.
