I did some math, and at 6,000 RPM/2:1 reduction, the prop tips are 125 mph under speed of sound. Even if I screw up and go higher, 7,000 engine RPM is still 18 mph under speed of sound at the prop tips. To be safe, I'm thinking of installing an RPM limiter ....when I finally get that far!
