I’ll agree with what William said; and add to it.  Most remote mounts handle a range of diameters; it’s about the thread size where the filter screws on. I think it’s ¾” that is normally used.

 

I’d say that K&N are among the best you can buy. The K&N HP-2004 is a good bet; and if you can fit one that is slightly longer, go for the HP-2001. If you’d like to read the manufacturers propaganda, go to http://store.knfilters.com/oilfilter.htm.

i'm sorry to have such mundane questions, but i have zero luck with that search function.

i am installing a remote filter.  the stock renesis filter appears to be too small in diameter to fit the remote bracket.  i found a bigger dia. that fits well. should i get a filter with the bypass valve?  does the brand matter?  this store carries fram and wix.     kevin
