I also understand that "Jason" offers a nice fuel totalizer and readout for tuning the EC-2 :-)

Sharp eye, Bob.

I’m told that “Jason” must have used an low density foam as the mold for the diffuser – which later showed a propensity for crumbling under the conditions existing around it.  Lesson learned.

Yes, I thought a good series of articles – something you would never see in Sport Aviation – Kitplane  has turned into a true representative of the experimenter – while EAA has long lost its Experimenter soul.  Kitplane and of course, Pat and CONTACT.  Although there may be some hope for the EAA, I understand that Pat has taken over as editor of its “Experimenter” on-line mag which can only be good.

It is an elegant installation.  I didn't know that Jason nickle plated the RD1?  And I think I see a chip out of the left radiator air intake diffuser.

Pat Panzera and Contact Magazine got a big shout out too.

Those of you who get Kitplane magazine will like this month issue – all about alternative engines, Subaru, VW, Rotary, Corvette, Corvair, you name it.  A nice side bar from Tracy Crook on the rotary and apparently  Jason Hutchins has an rotary powered Rv-6A exactly like mine including a “Plugs up” engine  and the same paint job.  Clearly Jason has good taste {:>)
