My plane used Aero-poxy 2032 resin, which has been over coated with = Jeffco 9700-FCR. A Hysol product was used to bond the bottom wing skin = to the spar/ribs. The bond lines could not be covered with the Jeffco. I believe many Lancairs use the Jeffco also. Years ago we did a test of some sample coupons coated with the two = epoxies, and the Jeffco withstood the gasohol, but did have some = weight-gain, this bothered me, because it would indicate that the = alcohol was penetrating the epoxy, and therefore could affect the = underlying base-coat. As a result, my tanks are labeled to accept 87-100 Octane, no alcohol. = I will use avgas unless I can find a source of Mo-gas without alcohol. Thanks for the heads up.
