Lynn: What was your experience as far as how often you had to "burp" your system with the shrader valve?
Just once before a race / quite frequently, etc.?

Once the proper air pressure to charge up the back side of the piston was established, there was no need to do anything maintainance wise. Just check the air pressure before each session. The bleed off of trapped air was constant as long as the engine ran. I had a .012 oriface in the line, so not much pressure was lost. When solid oil got up to the bleed tube, flow slowed to near nothing. A dose of air would fly through the tube quickly. The Accusump was a crutch for a poor oil pan design. Later when the correct oil pan design was stolen from the Nissan people, the Accusump was gone.
