There appear to be a lot of problems to solve to be able to run pure
ethanol, but they don't appear to be insurmountable. You would need to be
able to run any mixture of ethanol and gas to make it practicable, either that
or you just stay around the home airport and your supply of white
lightning. If the EC2 could handle a wide range of ethanol and gas
mixtures that problem would be solved.

you can expect to make slightly more power partly due to the higher evaporative
cooling but you will need to burn a lot more of it (about 2X in piston engines,

The reason that I am even thinking of running the engine on ethanol is there
might be some federal money out there for R&D passed out through one of the
local Universities.
