There is only one minor rub. Assuming the same injector size, the EC2 would need Mode 3 adjusted for the mixture of Ethanol / Gasoline in use. Without adjusting Mode 3, it would be still be within the range of the manual mixture control as long as you didn't mind having the mixture knob at a different position depending on the fuel in use. You might want to use a slightly larger injector size if you wanted to run 100% Ethanol. The reason that I am even thinking of running the engine on ethanol is there might be some federal money out there for R&D passed out through one of the local Universities.
