I need a fire resistant, flexible, durable "fabric" like item to wrap around my steering rods which go through the firewall in slots to allow for the vertical movement of the nose gear strut. If you are familiar with Cessna 152 steering rod boots then you have an idea of what would solve my problem. For most of the insulating, radiating or direct, I have done on the engine all have been fixed items allowing the use of fiberfrax(sp?) or similar kiln insulation materials. Though I haven't yet found a need for a flexible "fiberfrax" material for a direct application it would be a good item to have in the solution toolbox. Thus, any thoughts on an applicable flexible, durable, fire resistant material? Thanx... -Scott
