Sorry, to see you leaving (temporarily of course) the rotary “hobby”, Rusty.  But, life does have a bit more than Rotary Engines to offer (although some may wonder –why bother).  In any case, I suspect when the 16B gets into production (all aluminum side housings), we will see revived interest in a light, single rotor producing over 120 HP.  That will suck you back in {:>).

Good luck in the RC arena.  Current experimenting with a 1/3 scale RC servo to see if it might be a much cheaper solution for day VFR wing leveler than the $900 aircraft servos.

Take care and drop in from time to time.

Best Regards

Ed

Does this mean you’re not going to be finished before Tracy finishes his 8?

If I never finish, it could still be a tie :-)

I’m sorry to see you getting out of it, as you were certainly one of the more interesting characters on this list. If I was closer I’d certainly stop by to look through your stuff.

One of these days I’m still gonna surprise you with a visit.

Good Luck Rusty.

Thanks Todd.  I still have access to an RV-8, and of course rentals, but I haven’t flown anything since May.  There are just too many other things I want to do, so I’ll probably step away from full scale aviation for at least a few years.  I’m sure I’ll eventually build something else, and I certainly won’t be selling my aircraft tools :-)

Rusty

PS- The EC2/EM2 is $1000 (not $1250 like originally listed)
