Tonight I ran the 13B for 4/10th's of an
hour. It started right off with the mixture knob at the 3:00-o-clock
position and idled good a the 9:00-o-clock position, but with the MAP gauge not
working, I didn't try to do any programming. The tack and
manifold pressure gauge fuse blew so I didn't get any numbers on that, but it
was running so well I let it warm up and the with OSA temp at 71 degrees, the
Oil temp was stable 140 and the water was 165, so Ed I have to say that your
idea on the diffusers is a good one. The engine starts on about 4 inches
of prop travel with either the EFI or the Weber. The low pressure fuel
supply is running at 4.6 #'s and is overpowering the needle valve, so
I will have to change things there, but it really does run nice on the
Weber. It appears that I need to run a direct ground wire to the high
pressure fuel sender, as it isn't working and all the wires check out
okay. The noise is about the same as the average chain saw, which should
help keep the neighbors happy. A big thankyou to you gentlemen, things are
shaping up. JohnD........Rusty are you still out there, things are awful
quiet without you working on something.
