Mike,

Mark,

 Me too (manual at airport). I up= dated my EC2=20 in January and the new manual says Mode 9 to copy.

 So clarify what "it worked = fine" means? Does=20 that mean that the engine runs more or less the same on A & B after the= =20 copy? Or does that simply mean that you know the data copied OK?

 So far the only person who has a= ctually=20 answered my question was Dave. Was kinda hoping to hear from Tracy but I gu= ess=20 he's otherwise occupied ( I emailed him a few days ago).

Al,
My EC-2 manual is at the airport, but I'm pretty sure that=20 the latest manual says to use Mode 9 to copy A to B.  Foll= owing=20 the EC-2 manual, I did that on Sunday and it worked fine.  I know th= at=20 Tracy made some changes to a few of the modes.  As always.= ..=20 follow the installation manual, and after an upgrade always throw out the= old=20 manual.

Mike;

Mode 9??? =20 Unless your unit is different, copy A to B is mode 2 =96 and it copies= =20 everything. Mode 9 is for fine adjustment of mixture settings, and is u= sed=20 for ato-tune in conjunction with the EM2.

I now have the airplane runn= ing=20 pretty good throughout the RPM range on controller A. Using Mode 9 I co= pied=20 the program to the B controller. I assumed that the engine would run th= e=20 same (more or less) on B after the copy, but no... Seems to be rich=20 throughout the range - to the point of mis-firing, surging, running rou= gh,=20 etc.... I think I can tweak everything to settle it down, but is this= =20 normal? I assumed there may be differences in the MAP sensor which woul= d=20 result in a small difference but really did not expect such a drammatic= =20 difference. At most throttle settings I have to turn the mixture full l= ean=20 to smooth it out.

Does the Mode 9 copy just co= py=20 the MAP table or does it also copy things like the staging point, the g= lobal=20 injector setting, etc...

If I can get this B controll= er=20 dialed in I'll be out of excuses - time to fly.
