You might want to check the mounting points for all of the rear
suspension. The upper link, or links will try to pull out to the rear from
windup and jerks on shifts. Lower links as close to the contact patch as is
possible.
Set it on a triangular wood block at about ride height, and adjust the
front of the rear end link attach points at the chassis, to take out all
roll over steer that may be in it now. If anything a hint of roll under-steer in
the rear is OK. Same at the front end. A hint of under-steer, so the pig wants
to go straight all of the time.
Keep the flange on the diff parallel with the front face of the trans. If
the three links cannot do it use a Watts link for the top link. Only
copy stuff off of cars that are faster than yours.

Hmmm....all of that makes much more sense to me than the heating. That
was news to me also, but sense I've never considered it, I thought it was
something I was over looking. Were mounted on the front cover and
running a clutchless transmission and were talking about shimming it a bit to
give it some slip. right now....well last weekend....it didnt have any slip.
It was like getting punted out of the start gate. We know we shoulda shimmed
it after we destroyed a 9" ford rear end. thanks for the tips Lynn. We havent
raced in 12 years. And now were old. Any info is appreciated.
